Affirming care across the lifespan

  • LGBTQIA+ Affirming

Affirmative therapy is a type of psychotherapy used to validate and advocate for the needs of sexual- and gender-minority clients. Therapists use verbal and nonverbal means to demonstrate an affirming stance toward lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) clients.

  • Parenting Support

Parent counseling is a service that aims to provide you with knowledge, guidance, tools, and emotional support, all without judgment or bias. Different from family counseling, which has its own set of benefits, parent counseling focuses on how you as the parent affect the dynamics of your family.

  • Anxiety Coping Skills

Whether you’re suffering from panic attacks, obsessive or intrusive thoughts, unrelenting worries, or an incapacitating phobia, it’s important to know that you don’t have to live with anxiety and fear. Treatment can help, and for many anxiety problems, therapy is often the most effective option. That’s because anxiety therapy—unlike anxiety medication—treats more than just the symptoms of the problem. Therapy can help you uncover the underlying causes of your worries and fears; learn how to relax; look at situations in new, less frightening ways; and develop better coping and problem-solving skills. Therapy gives you the tools to overcome anxiety and teaches you how to use them.

  • Depression Management

Counseling can help someone out of the emotional depths of depression. The therapy sessions are used to teach strategies designed to help people better cope with negative thoughts or process difficult experiences. Seeing a counselor regularly can also provide valuable emotional support and help to find out what is causing the depression.
